The first day I stepped foot inside my high school weight room as a 14-year old, I was called a fat slob. I kid you not….that’s a 100% true story! That occurred 40 years ago, and I haven’t stopped working out since.

I joined the U.S. Air Force in 1988, and eventually became the Base Fitness Advisor. I conducted fitness assessment testing and helped coach pilots, military personnel, and their families in all areas of fitness, weight training, and healthy nutrition. 

After leaving the Air Force in 1992, I spent the next 28 years working with many well-known brands in the health and fitness industry. I won several bodybuilding contests, including my division at the 1994 MID-USA Bodybuilding Championships.
